Statement/Commitment on Impartiality
I.C.B. is a legally and fiscally independent third-party certification body, that operates as a network member of the Certification Body Certification International (UK) Ltd, accredited by UKAS under practically all schemes with accreditation certificates number 63, operating under that organization since 2008.
I.C.B. is responsible for all its decisions relating to the granting, maintenance, extension or reduction, suspension and withdrawal of the certificates for its clients.
Our policy is to provide confidence in making the certification decisions by observing the principles concerning the: impartiality, competence, responsibility, openness, confidentiality and responsiveness to the complaints related to the certification decisions.
In order to follow and supervise the safeguarding of impartiality, I.C.B. management empowers the Committee for Safeguarding the Impartiality (IC) with all necessary authorities for safeguarding impartiality. The Committee is composed of parties interested in certification, either representing public interests or originating form these parties, and has the purpose to review the impartiality and independence of the certification and decision-making processes within I.C.B. to counteract, mitigate and neutralize any potential threat to influence the objectivity of the certification activities.
I.C.B. management commits itself to ensure the compliance of the management system certification processes with the requirements of the applicable national and international conformity assessment standards.
I.C.B. certification process is subject of a continual review and improvement to maintain and increase the effectiveness of the management system implemented in compliance with ISO/IEC 17021 and ISO/TS 22003 standards and with the IAF and EA applicable guides and documented through I.C.B. management system manual.
In addition I.C.B. participates in the all central activities of Socotec Certification International (UK) including any related accreditation assessments by UKAS.
This policy, statement/commitment shall be continuously revised as deemed appropriate due to internal/external information or findings and shall be in accordance with the changes occurred in the conformity assessment standards and regulations thus it shall remain adequate and relevant.
